  • Why am I being contacted by Halsted Financial Services, LLC and not my original creditor (the company I previously had an account with?)

    Your Original Creditor could have sold your account to one of our debt buyer clients. Many debt buyers choose to place purchased account with third party agencies like Halsted Financial Services (HFS) for collection.

    If you received a letter from us, this means a creditor you had an account with has closed your account and sold it to a debt buyer who has placed it with us for collections. HFS is committed to helping consumers resolve their obligations and get back to doing what they love.

    Halsted Financial Services (HFS) understands that not everyone can pay their account balance all at once. We have dedicated representatives available to assist you with setting up a payment arrangement at (855) 520-7028 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm (Central Time) Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 5:00pm (Central Time) on Saturday.

  • If I sign in, am I required to make payments on a debt?

    No. Signing in to your HFS account does not imply that you are agreeing to make payments. You can sign in to find helpful information about your account including your balance, the original creditor, and payment options available to you.

  • What happens after my account is paid off?

    After your last payment, HFS will send correspondence to you notifying you that you have successfully resolved your account. Please allow 30 days after your last payment for your account to close.
